The Braunschweiger Informatik- und Technologie-Zentrum (BITZ) GmbH is a non-profit organization based on the cooperation of the University of Braunschweig – Institute of Technology (TU Braunschweig), the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) and the LINEAS, an IT-application service provider. All cooperation partners are located in Braunschweig, Germany. BITZ supports research projects in the fields of Biotechnology, Health Management and relevant fields of information technology by providing a platform for academic organizations, information technologies experts and small and medium-sized enterprises. BITZ realizes research projects, assists in academic education and provides an adequate technological platform and IT-Infrastructure for research projects. Due to the cooperation of enterprises, information technologies experts and science it is possible to provide services for research projects fast and effectively. Furthermore BITZ supports enterprises and research institutes in handling conjoint grant applications.

The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) delivers internationally leading research and education improving our ability to create value with information technology. ITU covers all academic activities which involve computers including natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, design, business impact and the commercialization of IT. Since its establishment in 1999, ITU has had close collaboration with research organizations as well as industry and professional and industrial bodies, nationally and internationally. In its relatively short time of operation, ITU has been successful in innovation, global interaction, achieving high academic standards and the creation of value. Approximately 2,000 students are enrolled in the university. There are around 75 full time faculty and +60 Ph.D.-students working in and across seven faculty groups.
